I've been meaning to write you a letter for quite awhile. There has been a lot of things I keep meaning to do but you are very good at keeping mommy busy these days. You are so active and have begun crawling all over the house. Today you crawled around the living room & touched everything you could get your hands on. You also tried to put just about everything in your mouth. You had the best time chasing Woody & Lily around the living room. Lucky for you, they are good sports & let you chase them & only run out of reach when you try to grab them while you squeal with delight. When you are calm they will let you pet them & Lily will even let you pull on her ears. There is no doubt that you will be an animal lover. It's in your blood! I talk to you everyday about being kind & gentle to animals. You even touch stuffed animals so gently & pet them sweetly. Tonight as I rocked you to sleep, Woody & Lily sat near you as I sang you every musical soundtrack & girl scout sing-a-long I know. You love singing & whistling. You have your favorite songs & you smile & giggle when Daddy whistles or when I sing you the "Sydney Girl" song. You have quite the voice yourself & you are constantly singing or talking in your own little baby language. The Drs. tell us you have hearing loss and many of them warned that you would stop making all the sounds you've been making since we brought you home from the hospital. They were wrong! You talk from the moment you wake up until the moment you go to bed. You have the cutest little laugh & when I hear it I light up inside. I've been rocking you to sleep lately. I know before I know it you'll be too big to be rocked to sleep. Although I'm excited to see you grow up, I'm trying to cherish every moment of your babyhood. I think I'm finally getting the hang of this mommy thing. I hope I am doing things right most of the time. The most important thing is that I teach you to be a kind & loving human being. That is what I want for you...and for you to be happy. You make mommy so very happy. I love you so much!
