Well hello there!

I can't believe I've been gone so long! Sydney has done so much growing up and I feel like I've missed out on filling you all in. She is talking a mile a minute, singing, and she has the most beautiful head of hair. She loves singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", she is obsessed with trash cans & the trash truck and she loves playing in the the yard & picking "Hados" (avocados) from our tree. She can be very stubborn and at the same time very open to new experiences. She has a great sense of humor and is such a little love bug. She is a true "Daddy's Girl" but she still has a soft spot for her Mama. I am so in love with her and my love just grows and grows everyday. I love seeing the world through her eyes. She points out the birds in the trees and the stars in the sky and it's like I'm seeing the world in a different way all over again. She is amazing. She is going to be a great big sister...

Yes, you heard it correctly! Sydney is going to be a big sister! I am 18 weeks pregnant! Almost halfway. I really wanted to start blogging again & writing about this pregnancy but I've been busy, tired and unmotivated. I was having some hormonal issues and my Ob didn't think I'd be able to get pregnant without Clomid this time around. I had quite a bit of testing done including a test in October called an HSG. I read an HSG can up your chances of getting pregnant the 3 months following the test. I guess the HSG was my lucky charm! :) I had an appt. for a Clomid check on the Monday after Thanksgiving but I never went because I got a positive pregnancy test on Thanksgiving Day! I was shocked I was actually pregnant. The only reason I took a test was because I was unusually tired & hungry. Way different then with Sydney where I had a "feeling" very early on. Anyway, soon after my positive test I began to bleed. I had bleeding & spotting on & off. I really wanted to hold off on telling anyone because I thought for sure I was miscarrying. When the bleeding stopped we told out families. We waited to surprise them on Christmas Day. It was such a great Christmas surprise. :) When I was 12 weeks pregnant I had a really bad episode of bleeding. I felt a gush & when I went to the bathroom there was blood everywhere. It was terrifying. Stephen took me to the ER where we were told everything looked fine. What a relief it was to see the baby & heartbeat. It is suspected that I had a subchrionic hematoma that either bled out or was absorbed. They couldn't find it on an ultrasound but my OB said sometimes they are so small or hidden under the placenta. I was on modified bed rest for a few days but I am back to my old routine again. The bleeding has stopped and I have been fine for the last 4 weeks. I'm finally feeling good and I'm ready to get excited about this baby. I'm still really nervous and I'm having a hard time thinking up names or looking at anything baby related. After our anatomy scan next Friday we will pull out the baby name book. My best friend is also pregnant (12 weeks) so it's great to go through this with a friend again like last time.
Anyway, I'm going to do my best & update my blog and fill you in on my sweet Sydney & the new little baby. Here are some photos of the last few months...
